Court of Master Sommeliers
Introductory & Certified Level in Malaysia
The Court of Master Sommeliers (CMS) was established to encourage quality standards for beverage service in hotels and restaurants.
The first Master Sommelier examination was held in London, in the United Kingdom in 1969.
By 1977 the Court Of Master Sommeliers was established and has since become the premier examining body for Sommeliers worldwide.
Courses are now conducted regularly throughout Europe, Oceania, Asia and the Americas.
Who Should Attend?
Working Experience & Wine Knowledge Requirements
- You should have at least 2 years of working experience in Wine Sales or Wine Service in Hotel, Restaurant & Bar
- It is highly recommended that the applicants come with a decent wine knowledge and already have experience serving wines in hospitality establishments.
Wine Distribution and Sales
- This course is particularly good for those who are working in Wine Distribution and Sales, Wine Shops, and the Wine Division in Supermarkets.
Hospitality and Food and Beverage Institutions
- Professionals who are teaching in the Hospitality and Food and Beverage Institutions will also benefit from learning the methods and styles of how the Masters conduct their training and tasting.
